Mission of pedagogical faculty - creation and improvement of the educational and cultural environment on the basis of achievements of modern science and innovative pedagogical technologies.
Vision: the competitive multilingual graduate capable to carry out educational process in unity with its valuable and target reference points, the contents, methods, forms and results, and also able to apply innovative methods and technologies in practical activities.
The strategic purpose of faculty – realization of the state educational policy directed on training of highly qualified specialists for providing quality education, improvement faculty’s activity, meeting the modern requirements of system of the higher pedagogical education.
The strategic objective of development of faculty is caused by its mission and the basic conceptual provisions of development main activities:
- Training of the competent focused bachelors and masters on specialties of faculty;
- Using of innovative scientific and pedagogical methods when training;
- Active attraction to research activity of students and masters;
- The organization and improvement of work within professional orientation activity;

Employment Report of Graduates of the Educational Program
“Pedagogy and Psychology” for the 2024–2025 Academic Year
In the 2024–2025 academic year, 39 students completed their studies in the educational program “Pedagogy and Psychology.” Of these, 31 students graduated from EP 6B01101 – “Pedagogy and Psychology” (26 students from the Kazakh-language department and 5 students from the Russian-language department), and 8 students graduated from EP 6B01801 – “Social Pedagogy” (6 students from the Kazakh-language department and 2 students from the Russian-language department).
Graduates of the educational program “Pedagogy and Psychology” in the 2024–2025 academic year were employed in their field of specialization in preschool organizations and general education schools as educational psychologists, social pedagogues, and teacher assistants.
The employment rate of graduates of the educational program “Social Pedagogy” is high. They were employed in general education schools, children’s creativity centers, and youth creative centers as social pedagogues.
The majority of graduates of the educational program “Pedagogy and Psychology” were also employed according to their specialty. They work as educational psychologists in general education schools, educational centers, district psychological-medical-pedagogical consultation centers, and Psychological Support Centers. In addition, graduates are employed in a branch of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School and in organizations providing psychological assistance.
One graduate continues her studies in a master’s program: Zhumagali Aizere — a first-year master’s student at M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, educational program 7M01109 – “Pedagogy and Psychology.”
Throughout the year, group curators systematically informed students about job vacancies in schools and educational organizations of the city and region. In April, a faculty-level and university-wide “Job Fair” was organized, which contributed to the employment of graduates.

In the 2024–2025 academic year, 31 graduates completed their studies in the EP “Pedagogy and Psychology,” of whom 3 graduates are currently unemployed. The employment rate is 90.3%.
In the EP “Social Pedagogy,” 8 graduates completed their studies, all of whom are employed; the employment rate is 100%.
In 2025, the majority of graduates of these educational programs were employed in accordance with their specialization, which indicates the high quality of specialist training and the strong demand for graduates in the labor market. Graduates successfully work in general education organizations and the education sector as a whole, and also actively participate in career guidance activities.
In addition, the educational program ensures the effective formation of professional competence, psychological readiness, and social adaptation of graduates.
Recommendations:
- conducting individual work with unemployed graduates (career guidance, assistance in job search);
- strengthening cooperation with the labor market and organizing job fairs;
- introducing elective courses on the basics of business for graduates oriented toward entrepreneurial activity.

The “Pedagogy and Psychology” educational program is a structural unit of the Faculty of Pedagogy. The program has been implemented since 2003 and is aimed at training competitive specialists in the fields of pedagogy and psychology who meet the modern requirements of the education system and the labor market.

Purpose of the Educational Program
The purpose of the educational program is to implement the state educational policy aimed at training highly qualified specialists to ensure quality education, as well as to improve educational, research, and educational (upbringing) activities that meet the current requirements of the higher pedagogical education system.

Educational Program for Training Teachers of Initial Military Training and Physical Education
The educational program for training teachers of initial military training and physical education is aimed at preparing highly востребованные (in-demand), professionally competent, and competitive teaching staff for the modern labor market. The program focuses on improving the educational environment based on the achievements of modern science and innovative pedagogical technologies.
Program Objective. The main objective of the program is to train highly qualified specialists capable of ensuring high-quality education and meeting the modern requirements of the higher pedagogical education system.
Program Tasks. Within the framework of the program, key areas include the formation of students’ professional competencies, modernization of the educational process, implementation of modern teaching and learning methods, development of research activity, expansion of academic mobility, and promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Special attention is paid to fostering students’ active civic position, social responsibility, leadership, and moral qualities.
Core Principles of the Program
The educational program is based on the following principles:
– the principle of comprehensive and harmonious personal development;
– the principle of linking physical education with practice;
– the principle of the health-oriented nature of physical education.
Main Areas of Activity. The program is aimed at continuous improvement of the quality of education, enhancement of the scientific and methodological level of practical classes, development of educational and methodological complexes, advancement of innovative activities, increasing students’ research engagement, and systematic organization of educational work. In addition, a priority area is the development of academic mobility of the teaching staff.
Human Resources Capacity. The implementation of the educational program involves highly qualified academic staff, including Doctors and Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences, PhD holders, associate professors, professors, and experienced instructors. The program is supported by a professional team capable of effectively combining theory and practice and ensuring high-quality education.
Program Leader. The program is led by Sayagul Zhaksybayevna Bakhtiyarova, PhD, Senior Lecturer. She is responsible for coordinating the educational program, organizing the academic process, and ensuring the quality of education. The program is delivered by an experienced academic staff, including Doctors and Candidates of Sciences, PhD holders, associate professors, as well as Honored Coaches of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This contributes to strengthening students’ professional training and developing their practical skills.
