On April 22, 2026, a master class for graduate students was held at the Faculty of Education on the topic “Artificial Intelligence Technologies: Opportunities for Improving Scientific Research and Master’s Projects.” The main goal of the event was to demonstrate effective ways of using modern artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the research process and to contribute to improving the quality of master’s theses. The master class was conducted by Senior Lecturer of the educational program “Training of Informatics Teachers and IT Specialists,” responsible for the implementation of artificial intelligence and digitalization at the faculty, Mukhametova G.G.
During the master class, the capabilities of several modern platforms were presented. In particular, Claude AI was introduced as an effective tool for analyzing scientific articles, testing research hypotheses, and editing academic texts. It was explained to the graduate students that this platform enables processing large volumes of scientific information in a short time and extracting key ideas. NotebookLM was presented as a tool that facilitates working with scientific sources. The capabilities of Napkin AI were also demonstrated, showing how text can be automatically transformed into diagrams, charts, and infographics. It was noted that this is especially useful for visualizing the methodology and theoretical framework of a master’s thesis.
The seminar focused not only on theoretical aspects but also on practical skills. Participants were shown how to automatically import test assignments prepared in MS Excel into the Google Forms platform. It was emphasized that this helps educators save time and organize the assessment process more efficiently.
Overall, the master class was highly beneficial for the graduate students. The participants gained an understanding of the importance of artificial intelligence technologies in scientific research and learned specific ways to apply them in practice. At the end of the event, it was emphasized that artificial intelligence does not replace the researcher but rather enhances their capabilities, optimizes scientific work, and increases productivity. The participants left the event in a positive mood and with valuable insights.
