On April 30, within the framework of the “Law and Order” project, a role-playing game entitled “Court Hearing: Consequences of an Offense” was organized for students of the P(IP)-21 and SPPA-21 groups of the 6B01103 “Psychology (IP)” and 6B01802 “Social Pedagogy and Teacher Assistant” educational programs at the Pedagogy and Psychology educational program. The event was organized by the group curator, Bibigul Nurlybekovna Tulegenova.
The main purpose of the event was to improve students’ legal literacy, explain responsibility before the law, and develop the legal culture of future specialists. During the role-playing game, students became familiar with the structure of court proceedings and practically demonstrated the work of professionals in the law enforcement field.
The participants performed the roles of judge, prosecutor, defense attorney, defendant, witness, and court secretary, conducting a court hearing based on a pre-prepared case related to an offense. The students demonstrated courtroom speaking culture, skills in analyzing evidence, and the specifics of applying legal norms. In addition, the consequences of offenses for the individual, society, and future life were comprehensively discussed.
The role-playing game contributed to the development of students’ critical thinking, decision-making, argumentation, and professional communication skills. During the event, special attention was paid to respect for the law, maintenance of public order, and civic responsibility.
At the end of the meeting, the students shared their impressions and noted the important role of such practice-oriented events in their future professional activities. Such educational and informative events make a significant contribution to the formation of legal awareness among young people and to strengthening the values of law and order in society.
