On February 1, 2024, an open lecture was held with students of the groups Sp-41, Sp-31,Sp-31-1,Sp-21, PiP-21 on the educational program "Pedagogy and psychology", M. Utemisov Pedagogical Faculty. The aim is to inform the public about the stages of formation and development of the country's electoral system, closely related to the history of the formation of independent Kazakhstan, increase the electoral activity of voters and the formation of a position towards democratic values among young voters. At the lecture, lecturer Turar Tulegenovich Shaikhiev, senior lecturer in world history and socio-political disciplines, explained the importance of elections with their history and features.
This day was established at the General Conference of Election Organizers in Budapest, Hungary, in 2005 as a professional holiday of electoral authorities and is celebrated as World Election Day with the support of the United Nations.
The tradition of celebrating World Election Day annually on the first Thursday of February began on the initiative of the European Association of Election Organizers (ACEEO), of which the Republic of Kazakhstan is a full member.
