On December 10, first-year students of the “Pedagogy and Psychology” educational program took part in the curatorial hour “From Independence to Responsibility,” dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As part of the event, a thematic discussion was held during which the students examined Kazakhstan’s development path throughout the years of independence and discussed how the historically established state sovereignty shapes modern requirements for the personal and professional responsibility of every citizen.
Special attention was given to the role of youth and, in particular, future teachers and psychologists in strengthening and developing the country. The students noted that their responsibility today lies in obtaining quality education, developing critical thinking, and maintaining an active civic position, which represents a direct contribution to Kazakhstan’s future.
During the meeting, a short documentary film highlighting Kazakhstan’s key achievements over the years of independence was also shown and discussed. The students actively participated in the conversation, sharing their views on how they see their professional and civic path in the context of the values of an independent state.
The curatorial hour helped deepen students’ understanding of the connection between the value of national independence and their personal responsibility as future professionals and citizens. The event took place in an atmosphere of open dialogue and contributed to the development of patriotic feelings and a conscious civic position among first-year students.
