Physical education

Mission of the Department of Physical Education — to develop a physically healthy, socially active, and harmoniously developed individual through the promotion of physical activity, strengthening health, and fostering a culture of a healthy lifestyle.

Objective of the Department:

to form students’ physical culture and the ability to apply it in socio-professional, sports, recreational, and family activities.

Tasks of the Department:

modernization of the educational process, searching for and optimizing forms, methods, and methodological approaches that ensure comprehensive student development and make physical education an effective factor in shaping personality with strong individuality and readiness for professional activity;

development of the department’s teaching and methodological potential by expanding methodological support for educational, upbringing, and physical wellness activities, and introducing information technologies into planning and organizing the educational process;

orientation of research activities toward the development of innovative pedagogical technologies, including accessible, safe, and effective practices in health preservation, comprehensive development, and personal improvement;

focusing educational work on forming a positive attitude toward a healthy lifestyle as a factor of academic and career success, as well as a universal means of primary prevention, health promotion, and protection.

Main Areas of Activity:

Ensuring continuous improvement of teaching quality;

Improving the scientific and methodological level of practical classes;

Development of the curriculum and teaching materials (syllabus and instructional package);

Development of innovative activities among teaching staff;

Involving students in scientific conferences, expanding their outlook, and developing skills of self-awareness and self-realization;

Conducting educational work aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and strengthening students’ health through physical education;

Development of academic mobility of teaching staff.

Department Structure:

The department consists of 14 full-time staff members, including:

Master of Sports of the USSR — Bekbaev S.Sh.;

Candidate Master of Sports in Grappling and national sports referee in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) — Shandoztagi A.T.;

Candidate Master of Sports in Table Tennis — Jumagaliev A.Kh.;

Candidate Master of Sports in Judo — Tyurina T.I.;

5 instructors hold the first adult sports category.
