“Pedagogy and Psychology” for the 2024–2025 Academic Year
In the 2024–2025 academic year, educational, pedagogical, and professional internships were organized for 1st–4th year students of the “Pedagogy and Psychology” educational program in the following degree programs:
6B01101 – Pedagogy and Psychology,
6B01801 – Social Pedagogy,
6B01802 – Social Pedagogy and Teacher Assistant,
6B03101 – Psychology,
6B01532 – Biology–Psychology.
Before the start of each internship, orientation conferences were held to explain the goals, objectives, and content of the practice. Final conferences were organized upon completion.
Internship programs were developed in accordance with the Order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 27, 2023, No. 125, as well as the Regulations on the organization and conduct of professional practice approved by Protocol No. 1 dated August 20, 2023, of M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University.
The purpose of the academic internship is to develop skills in planning and organizing research activities, selecting appropriate research methods, and familiarizing students with documentation related to research organization.
Pedagogical practice is an integral part of the educational process and aims to form students’ professional readiness for pedagogical work, mastering professional activities at the specialist level. It contributes to professional self-determination, personal and professional development, and consolidation of theoretical knowledge.
Professional practice promotes the implementation of humanization, democratization, and integration of education, development of professional competencies, creative and research skills, and personal-professional qualities of future teachers.
According to Order No. 3 dated January 30, 2025, internships outside the academic calendar were organized for full-time shortened program students with academic differences.
During the 2024–2025 academic year, internships were organized for 1st–4th year students of the relevant groups.
Practice bases included Nazarbayev Intellectual School, special boarding schools for children with hearing and visual impairments, secondary schools No. 17, 38, 40, 42, 47, as well as educational institutions in Mangystau Region and other areas.
Throughout the internship period, academic staff provided students with methodological support and consultations.
Practice supervisors included lecturers of the “Pedagogy and Psychology” educational program: E.K. Abdiraiymova, Zh.S. Ismagulova, Zh.G. Baigalieva, A.A. Sisengali, and B.N. Tulegenova.
During the internship, students became familiar with the professional activities of educational psychologists, social pedagogues, and class teachers, participated in class activities, psychological research, and socio-pedagogical work. All tasks were completed in full.
As a result of the internship, students received positive feedback and evaluations from practice bases. All reporting documentation was submitted and assessed successfully.
